Kingwell Road

A feasibility study, pre-planning application and full planning application for the creation of two, 5-bedroom dwellings in a highly desirable area of north London, where Adam acted as Lead Architect during his time at a previous company.

The perimeter of the site is defined by the Monken Mead Brook that runs along the north and east boundaries, meaning that flood risk was a primary consideration on the building’s design and placement on site.

The massing and pitched roof profiles of each property were directly informed by the surrounding properties in an attempt to maintain a coherent street frontage. The materials were carefully considered in order to be sympathetic to the street context with a simple palette of render, brick, stone and slate.
