Park Avenue

The project involves a ground floor rear infill extension to a late-Victorian terrace property in the Roker Park Conservation Area, Sunderland.

It will be constructed from matching brickwork with brick detailing, provide new open plan living / kitchen / dining and family areas, and benefit from west facing views overlooking a re-configured rear garden.

The design is a contemporary addition to a traditional building, made possible by the hidden nature of the rear parts of the property.

Further alterations include new timber frame timber sliding sash windows to the front elevation in order to reinstate an original and sophisticated design feature of the property, with anthracite grey windows added at the rear to complement the contemporary additions to the building.
